Experience
Dr. Sherif El Atfy is a partner at I&D and head of the Energy Law Department, with over 30 years of experience in the energy sector. He has advised on a range of matters related to hydrocarbon business operations, including farm out, seismic, concession, joint operating, and deal agreements.
Dr. El Atfy has proven valuable experience in relation to advising on upstream operation entrance in the Egyptian market, including concession production sharing agreements, legal risk assessments, and joint operating agreements. He has worked for major energy companies such as ExxonMobil and BP, and has extensive experience in managing legal affairs, writing agreements, counseling business functions, assessing risks, conducting compliance training, and providing legal support. Dr. El Atfy has attended energy-focused training programs tailored and presented by the energy companies he worked at, enhancing his expertise in the energy sector.
