Internship Details:
The internship training includes performing various day-to-day tasks, conducting legal research on relevant laws and regulations, organizing and maintaining documents, and learning to draft legal documents, writing memorandums and legal opinions, performing administrative duties such as filing, copying, assisting with preparation for trials,
hearings, and depositions and helping attorneys in preparing documents, and learning the day-to-day activities that happen at the legal field.
I&D Interns will work under the supervision, and the assistance of, experienced lawyers. Every effort is generally made to accommodate interns’ areas of interest. The preferences of the students are well taken into consideration, as well as practice areas’ workloads. The interns’ work is always evaluated, and constructive criticism is provided.
Eligibility selection criteria for interns include:
– Third year law students.
– Fluent in both written and spoken English and/or French.
– Excellent computer skills.
– Full-time availability during the program period i.e., 9.00 am – 5.00 pm.
– Dedication is expected from all interns.
