Mr. Hatem Badr is an experienced legal professional with over 30 years of experience advising leading financial institutions, investment firms, and corporates across the Middle East, North & West Africa, the UK, and the US.
In the early stages of his career, Mr. Badr worked at international law firms such as Freshfields (London), White & Case (New York), and Baker & McKenzie (Cairo).
He has held senior legal and executive positions with prominent banks and financial institutions, including Citibank (Egypt & Bahrain), Gulf Bank (Kuwait), and Ahli United Bank (Kuwait). He also served as a senior legal and executive leader at Gulf Capital, one of UAE’s leading private equity firms.
Mr. Badr has a distinguished track record in banking and finance law, M&A transactions, corporate restructuring, and cross-border deal execution. He has successfully negotiated and closed high-value transactions across multiple jurisdictions and has extensive experience in regulatory and compliance advisory, as well as conventional and Islamic finance.
